Krakow Marathon

Since 2002, the Krakow Marathon has crossed the city centre along a route combining heritage, the Vistula riverbanks and more modern neighbourhoods. The start and finish take place in the Market Square, in the heart of the Old Town, with Wawel Castle among the visible landmarks. The course also reaches the banks of the Vistula and stretches as far as Nowa Huta. The race bears the motto “through history”, referring to the different faces of Krakow encountered over the kilometres.
