The only marathon that runs through the Denver metro area, this Colorado race offers a unique urban route at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. The start and finish are set in the heart of City Park, sending runners onto the legendary Colfax Avenue, known as the longest continuous commercial street in the United States.
The course stands out for its particularly flat profile despite a constant altitude of around 1,600 meters, typical of the Mile High City. The route includes iconic highlights: a run through the Denver Broncos’ football stadium at Empower Field at Mile High, a detour along the banks of Cherry Creek, and a pass at the foot of the Colorado State Capitol. Held in May, the event also offers a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K and a relay.
