Head to Iowa for a smooth course that weaves between the glass towers of the capital and the wooded stretches along the Raccoon River.
The race delivers real cruising comfort thanks to an especially flat profile. The route through Drake University’s campus and the pass by the monumental works at Pappajohn Sculpture Park keep things lively without any real technical challenge. Whether running solo (marathon, half, 5K) or as part of a relay, the profile is perfectly suited to a need for speed, buoyed by the local community’s simple, warm welcome.
