In the heart of the Sonoran Desert, the race starts from the Biosphere 2 site in Oracle, heading toward the streets of Oro Valley. Right from the start, runners follow rows of saguaro cacti with the Santa Catalina Mountains as a backdrop.
The course takes advantage of a downhill profile with 450 meters of elevation loss, helping you hold a steady pace in pursuit of time goals. The route alternates between wild stretches and residential avenues, finishing at the gateway to Tucson. The event also offers a 50 km, a half marathon and a relay.
