Vienna Marathon

Vienna Marathon

The Vienna Marathon takes runners through the Austrian capital amid large parks, avenues and historic monuments. Starting near the Vienna International Centre, the route heads towards the Prater before reaching the city centre and passing landmarks including the Vienna State Opera and Schönbrunn Palace. The course is very fast, with little elevation change, before a final section through the heart of Vienna.
The finish takes place on the Ringstrasse, between the Burgtheater and City Hall. Spectators and entertainment along the route give the race a lively atmosphere throughout.
