PSG brings WE RUN DOHA to Lusail Circuit on October 30, 2026

Paris Saint-Germain is taking its running experience to Qatar. On October 30, 2026, more than 2,000 runners are expected at Lusail International Circuit for the inaugural PSG QNB WE RUN DOHA. It marks another step in the growth of PSG Running, blending sporting challenge, an immersive experience and football culture.

After launching its PSG Running initiative, Paris Saint-Germain is expanding its presence in the running world with its first WE RUN event in Doha. For its arrival in Qatar, the Club has chosen a spectacular setting: Lusail International Circuit.

Usually home to major motorsport events, the Qatari circuit will welcome several thousand runners for a day. More than 2,000 participants are expected on October 30 for an event that aims to combine performance, community and the Red and Blue universe.

Run on a Formula 1 circuit

That is clearly one of the PSG QNB WE RUN DOHA's biggest attractions: giving participants the chance to run on a world-famous motorsport circuit. It inevitably brings to mind another defining moment in the recent history of circuit running. In 2017, Eliud Kipchoge took on the mythical two-hour marathon barrier at Monza, Italy, as part of Nike's Breaking2 project. Running laps on a 2.4-kilometre loop laid out around the Autodromo Nazionale, the Kenyan covered the 42.195 km in 2:00:25, falling just 25 seconds short of his sub-two-hour goal. It was an extraordinary performance, but it was not recognised as an official world record because of the special conditions surrounding the attempt.

Nearly ten years later, Lusail International Circuit will swap the roar of single-seaters for the sound of running shoes. The comparison ends there, of course. Doha is not about chasing a world record, but about offering runners an unusual experience at a venue normally reserved for motorsport.

Participants will be able to discover the circuit from a whole new perspective, in an event designed for both seasoned competitors and occasional runners. The day will extend well beyond the races themselves, with warm-ups, entertainment, partner activations, food areas and a range of Paris Saint-Germain-themed experiences.

10K, 5K and a 1K kids' race

Three distances will be offered to reach as wide an audience as possible. The 10K will be the most demanding event on the schedule, aimed at runners chasing a performance as well as those who simply want to test themselves on a particularly unusual course.

The 5K will put more emphasis on accessibility and sharing the experience. It will give runners of all levels the chance to discover the WE RUN concept and enjoy the atmosphere without necessarily pursuing an all-out performance. Younger participants will have their own event too, with a 1K kids' race. It is a way to bring the next generation into the event and offer them their first taste of competition in an environment that is safe, festive and highly symbolic.

Competition will still matter on the 5K and 10K. The top women and men will be rewarded and will also have the opportunity to continue their WE RUN journey in Paris, wearing PSG colours.

Running as a force for local impact

Beyond the spectacle and the sporting challenge, PSG QNB WE RUN DOHA also aims to make a lasting mark locally. The event will support programmes and initiatives for local communities developed by PSG Academy Qatar. Sport and running are intended to create new opportunities and deliver lasting benefits for those communities. This dimension is part of Paris Saint-Germain's broader PSG Running strategy, with WE RUN now one of its extensions.

Doha before Paris

With this first edition in Doha, Paris Saint-Germain is continuing to take its running universe international. Qatar is an obvious choice for a club that has maintained close ties with the country for several years. But the ambition goes beyond this one destination. After Doha, the next major event announced will be the return of WE RUN PARIS in March 2027.
