For its third edition, the Harmonie Mutuelle Toulouse Métropole Run Experience stepped up a level, with 37,000 runners on the start line. New courses through the Capitole and the Stadium, fan zones and a beefed-up festival program. The momentum carries into spring 2027 with a brand-new event. Adrien Latestere and Marie Laplace were the winners.
On Sunday, November 1, 37,000 runners took the start of the Harmonie Mutuelle Toulouse Métropole Run Experience, across all distances. For this 3rd edition, the event has a new title partner, Harmonie Mutuelle. It also has a real sporting novelty: every course now runs through the Stadium, Toulouse FC's home ground.
Marathon and half: fast times
In the Marathon des Géants, Adrien Latestere won in 2:24:56. Guillaume Tiphene was second in 2:25:20, just 24 seconds back, and Thomas Teofili rounded out the podium in 2:27:37. On the women's side, victory went to Marie Laplace in 2:52:33. Nadia Moussaïd followed 12 seconds behind (2:52:45) and Majken Skärvad was third in 2:53:02. All three went under 2:54, and the win came down to a whisker. In the Garonne half marathon, Hassan Suldan won in 1:02:52, ahead of Mustafe Muuse (1:04:10) and Aurel Bonnin (1:07:25). Among the women, Esmée Wood took the title in 1:18:50, ahead of Marion Costes (1:19:53).
Capitole 10K and relay
In the Capitole 10K, the men's win went to Muhammad Rashad Awal in 31:05, ahead of Paul Daireaux (31:43) and Florian Molteni (31:52). Aude Korotchansky won the women's race in 34:11, ahead of Alice Mugnier (35:24) and Zoé Blanchard (37:10).
The Aéropostale Pioneers Relay had its winners too:
Men: Jardi Turbo Brouettes, in 2:21:19, ahead of G.A.M.M. (2:32:58) and ATR Prop the Race (2:35:36).
Women: Les Débutantes, in 2:56:16, ahead of ECL (3:13:14) and Jardi’Girls (3:20:28).
Mixed: Cercle Triathlon Toulouse took all three podium spots, with its teams 3 (2:42:10), 1 (2:47:52) and 2 (2:55:32).
The Stadium, the highlight
This is the big change this year. Every runner, from the 10K to the marathon, ran inside the Stadium de Toulouse, on the Île du Ramier. Making that happen took close collaboration with the city. The course starts on boulevard d’Arcole and crosses the historic center (Capitole, place Saint-Pierre, arche Marengo). It then follows the Garonne and the Canal du Midi before heading to aerospace Toulouse: Piste des Géants, ENAC, Cité de l’Espace. The finish is on boulevard Lazare Carnot. For race director Jérémy Larson (Outdoor director at Playground), the event has found its place in the city: « The event now has its place at the heart of the city », he says, promising to keep innovating.
Noise every 2.5 km
Toulouse turned out in force. Brass bands and batucadas, including Open Bardes, Peaux Rouges, Batida Louca and Dilo Swing, took turns every 2.5 km. Three fan zones completed the setup: place du Capitole, place du Salin and Jolimont, where supporters pushed the marathoners up the most dreaded climb on the course.
The organizers also looked after the build-up and the aftermath:
The race village, set up in Hall 8 on the Île du Ramier from Thursday to Saturday, with bib pickup, stands, and step and salsa classes.
Shake-out runs with the Toulouse Run Club, three easy outings before race day, including Saturday's, which links the Île du Ramier to the Halles de la Cartoucherie.
The Halloween Pasta Party at the Halles de la Cartoucherie, which drew more than 500 people on Saturday night.
The Bodega at kilometer 43, open from 11 a.m. on Sunday, with a DJ set and discounts on presentation of your medal.
Partner shops, identifiable by the sticker in their window, offering deals to finishers.
The day before, kids kicked off the weekend with the Course des P’tits Rex on the Île du Ramier.
More women on the start line
Women made up 41% of participants this year, up from 39% in 2025. The organizers launched Pace Her: three pairs of runners and pacers covered the 42.195 km of the Marathon des Géants together. The pacers' bibs were free, in exchange for their experience.
Wooden medals
Since the first edition, finishers have received a wooden medal made in the Ariège. According to the organizers, it emits 0.005 kg of CO2e to produce, versus 1.4 kg for a metal medal. Across 37,000 participants, that adds up to roughly 49 tonnes of CO2e avoided (transport excluded). Aid stations were plastic-free, and 50% of the food was organic. On the partner side, Frédéric Malfilatre, regional director of Harmonie Mutuelle Occitanie, stressed the link with health: « Moving is taking care of your health. »
Two dates for 2027
On May 29, 2027, a new event is born: the Stadium Run Experience, with the finish inside the Stadium itself. Registration is open to everyone, but places will be limited.
In autumn 2027, the 4th edition of the race will be back. A waiting list lets you sign up early and get the best rates.
