For the past 27 years, Les Foulées Vichyssoises has been a fixture of the running scene in the spa town of Vichy, central France. In 2026, nearly 6,000 participants took part across the event’s various race formats, setting a new attendance record. As the race continues to grow in popularity, adding a marathon to the programme in 2027 became a natural next step. The sport’s iconic distance will be integrated into the existing event, with the ambition of delivering a fast, accessible race that remains deeply connected to the identity of the region.

SP City Marathon (São Paulo)

Summer is the season for track or trail… except in Brazil, where the road racing calendar is still in full swing thanks to the mildness of the Southern Hemisphere winter. After Porto Alegre on July 12th, it’s São Paulo’s turn for the SP City Marathon — featuring both a half marathon and a marathon, World Athletics labelled. For its 10th edition, the race will wind through 18 districts of the most populated city on the continent. But don’t be fooled — with 276 metres of elevation gain, this is far from the flattest marathon in the world. Not that it will deter the 32,000 runners expected to turn out for the big celebration on July 26th.
