Mont Ventoux Half Marathon
After several days of intense heat, temperatures are finally dropping across France—a welcome relief for runners, especially the 1,600 athletes lining up this Sunday at the Mont Ventoux Half Marathon. This is no ordinary half marathon: 21.6 km with 1,610 metres of elevation gain, climbing relentlessly all the way to the summit of the legendary Giant of Provence. Widely regarded as one of Europe’s toughest half marathons, the race follows the iconic ascent made famous by the Tour de France. Manon Trapp and Kilian Allaire start as the favourites, but one thing is certain: on the slopes of Mont Ventoux, legs will burn, heart rates will soar, and every finisher will have earned their place at the top. See you this Sunday, July 5, at 8:00 a.m. in Bédoin.
